Map of trail detour at Grant Street and Fort Pitt Boulevard

The Three Rivers Heritage Trail/Eliza Furnace Trail portion of the Great Allegheny Passage will be detoured at the intersection of Grant Street and Fort Pitt Boulevard December 4-8, 2017. Pedestrians should follow detour signs to the Boulevard of the Allies.

The detour is to enable the construction of the second phase of the Grant Street Crossing intersection improvements, including installation of vertical pylons, signage and a crossing signal.

The Grant Street Crossing project will create a welcoming gateway that delineates a clear cyclist and pedestrian route across Grant Street and celebrates the Great Allegheny Passage’s entry into downtown Pittsburgh. The Grant Street Crossing project design includes painted ground level graphic treatment across Grant Street, vertical painted pylons, graphic signage, and improved cyclist and pedestrian crossing lights and push-button signals.
