Beautification efforts bring native plants to riverfront trail at Allegheny Landing

Thank you to the amazing volunteers joined us for a very successful planting day at Allegheny Landing on Tuesday, November 16th. The riverfront trail in Allegheny Landing is looking great thanks to the help of everyone who joined us. This fall alone we’ve made so many improvements to the park including removing a broken fountain, installing tables, chairs and lights, and now adding over 200 native plants to the trail!

We were so lucky to have been joined by volunteers from the EQT Corporation, the Pittsburgh Pirates, United States Steel Corporation, and our partners at the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, the City of Pittsburgh, and the Pittsburgh Department of Public Works.

The landscaping upgrades are part of Riverlife’s Allegheny Landing Park Restoration and are generously supported by EQT Foundation, which also sent 34 volunteers to help with the work!
