Riverlife announces the following detour for the Three Rivers Heritage Trail along the North Shore due to a special event, in effect from 8:00 am Thursday, August 16, 2018 through 5:00 pm Saturday, August 18, 2018. Please refer to the above rendering of the detour route.
– TRAIL TRAFFIC ORIGINATING WEST OF RIVERS CASINO HEADING UPRIVER: Trail narrows slightly at Rivers Casino between Casino building and temporary special event tents. Please refer to caution signs and trail markers. Trail detours slightly at the southeastern corner of the Casino building onto paved path leading through the grassy area east of the Casino. Trail detour ends near southwestern corner of the Carnegie Science Center parking lot. The reverse applies to trail traffic originating east of the Casino building heading downriver.
-Directional detour signs will be placed on the trail the morning of August 16.
Pedestrian use of the trail may be heavier than normal during this time. As with any trail detour, all trail users should exercise caution.
