Development news: Continental’s North Shore building; Highwoods at SouthSide Works

Raleigh, North Carolina-based real estate developer Highwoods Properties is planning a new 107,000-square-foot office building at the SouthSide Works site in Pittsburgh’s South Side Neighborhood (above, image via Highwoods Properties) . The proposed building site on the Monogahela River, between the riverfront campus of American Eagle Outfitters and Hyatt House Hotel [Map], is just upriver from South Shore Riverfront Park and another parcel being marketed for a larger office development by Highwoods.

North Shore

Continental Real Estate Companies is building a new $22.8 million, seven-story office building on the riverfront next to the former Equitable Resources building [Map]. Construction is anticipated for next year and it appears that German software engineering firm SAP will be the anchor tenant. (Above, image via Kolano Design)
