Riverlife’s Legendary Party at the Pier Turns “Green With Envy” and Returns to Rivers Casino Amphitheater on August 26th
Riverlife’s annual themed fundraiser celebrates the city’s riverfronts and raises funds for riverfront initiatives to include “Completing The Loop”

June 8, 2022 (Pittsburgh, PA)– Riverlife’s highly anticipated fundraising event returns for its 13th year to the River’s Casino Amphitheater with an edgy new theme. On Friday, August 26th, Riverlife will invite guests to experience Green Envy. The party will transport guests to a verdant, lush, and mysterious environment to celebrate Pittsburgh’s riverfronts at a transformed North Shore amphitheater. The main event will open at 7:30pm, with a VIP reception sponsored by Legacy Sponsor PNC Bank that will take place from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Party at the Pier: Green Envy is presented by Peoples. Riverlife’s Party at the Pier: Green Envy, presented by Peoples is Riverlife’s 13th annual fundraiser for Pittsburgh’s riverfronts. Riverlife is a nonprofit organization that has worked since 1999 to make Pittsburgh’s riverfronts cleaner, safer and more engaging. The theme of this year’s event playfully highlights the message that Pittsburgh riverfronts are for everyone. Don’t envy us. Join us!
Guests will be greeted by pop up performances and sip potent potions and as they make their way to the riverfront. The VIP Cocktail Hour, presented by Legacy Sponsor PNC Bank, will feature specialty cocktails, plenty of bubbles, and abundant fresh bites provided by the talented culinary team at River’s Casino. As the doors open at 7:30pm to all ticketed guests, attendees are greeted with an atmosphere draped in dazzling greens. Look for dramatic shades of Olive Sprig, PPG’s 2022 “Color of the Year” throughout the party. PPG is Party at the Pier’s Official Color Sponsor, marking the first year that the party truly sets the trend in color.
Guests will enjoy themed food and drink, live music and dancing, pop-up performances, and a number of surprise moments throughout the evening. A beloved Party at the Pier tradition, the Gateway Clipper is docked next to the riverfront dance floor to provide complimentary cruises around Pittsburgh’s Point throughout the evening with views of Riverlife waterfront improvement projects.
The always fashion-forward event is another tradition that guests embrace enthusiastically. “Each year, this event is always met with so much excitement surrounding the theme,” says Sarah Spiegel, Director of Development for Riverlife. “We went with the more dramatic and daring side of green to reflect the wild foliage along Pennsylvania riverbanks that is juxtaposed with our city’s urban setting. It will be fun to see what the city’s most fashionable turn out with the Green Envy theme!”

Tickets should be purchased in advance due to the event’s high rate of sell out*. A 15% Early Bird ticket discount will be available to all guests and ticket levels until June 18th.
Riverlife will be following current CDC Guidelines regarding COVID-19 safety and guests will receive correspondence regarding any appropriate protocol and safety measures in advance of the event.
