June 3, 2024 (Pittsburgh, PA) – Riverlife’s Party at the Pier: Galactic, presented by Peoples will land on the Rooftop Terrace at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on Friday August 23, 2024. The event marks two exciting and important milestones for Riverlife – celebrating 25 years of Riverlife and 15 years of Party at the Pier. The event opens with the exclusive PNC Bank VIP Reception at 6:30pm with the main event opening at 7:30pm. Tickets are on sale today, June 3, 2024, at partyatthepier.com.
“This is a big year for Riverlife. We’re celebrating 25 years of activating Pittsburgh’s riverfronts – and 15 years of this signature summer celebration. We’re laying the groundwork for incredible things to come,” said Matthew Galluzzo, Riverlife’s President and CEO. “Party at the Pier’s return to the Rooftop Terrace signals our commitment to the vitality of downtown Pittsburgh and the connection to the three rivers. It offers up a view into our future as we all celebrate Riverlife’s mission.”
Chaired by the Wirginis Family of the Gateway Clipper, guests will step into a futuristic fantasy complete with cosmic cocktails, technological treats, and an out-of-this-world line up of entertainment with special surprises throughout the night. The VIP Reception, presented by PNC Bank, will feature exclusive entertainment and a universe of decadent food and drink. The doors will open at 7:30pm to all ticketed guests and will feature access to the First National Bank Riverfront View Lounge throughout the evening.
The always fashion-forward evening is another tradition that guests embrace enthusiastically. Known widely as Pittsburgh’s “fashion event of the year,” guests dressing to impress take creative cocktail attire to new heights. Expect to see striking silvers in honor of Riverlife’s 25th year, shining crystal inspired by 15 years of Party at the Pier, and glowing hues and daring moments reflective of Riverlife’s bold visions for the future of Pittsburgh’s riverfronts.
