Mike Good (he/him) serves as Development Manager at Riverlife and manages Riverlife’s institutional and foundation giving while supporting other development department activities. Mike holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Hollins University and a BA in English Writing and History from the University of Pittsburgh. In 2024, he earned his Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) credential from CFRE International. He joined the Riverlife staff in 2024.
Mike has held roles at a variety of arts, environmental, and social services organizations, bringing nearly fifteen years of experience to his work. He has also served as a grants panelist for the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, The Heinz Endowments, Poetry Foundation, and others. His work has received grants from local, statewide, and national organizations, including the National Endowment for the Arts.
Outside of Riverlife, he is a creative writer. He will publish his first book in 2027, and is a member of the National Book Critics Circle. Mike’s favorite place on Pittsburgh’s rivers is Sycamore Island on the Allegheny River. He enjoys fishing, hiking, and mushroom foraging during warmer months.
