Celebrating our rivers of life through sound, dance, and color.
The AURA of the night is blue.
Blue like the water.
Blue like the sky reflected in the water.
Join Pittsburgh Creative Corps artist-in-residence Madame Dolores as she hosts AURA at the lawn on 11th Street at the Allegheny River’s edge, on Saturday, September 10th, 2022, from 7:00 – 11:00 pm. Envisioned by Pittsburgh Creative Corps artist-in-residence Madame Christiane Dolores, AURA harkens to those nights when we would dance ALL NIGHT LONG and DJs were busy “saving lives.”
We invite you to the inaugural kick off of this party of beats and color. AURA is an evening of deep house music curated by DJ Brotha Mike of Solid State Soul Radio.
Come dressed head to toe in your finest blues. Shake your Blue thang with thought provoking music that soothes the soul and offers love and happiness, and coerces the body to move accordingly to its own rhythms. DJ Brotha Mike and DJ Scuzzi of Solid State Soul Radio, will be at the wheels spinning choice tunes that are an amalgamation of House, Deep House, Tech, Disco, and Disco Edits. All you have to do is surrender to the beats and rhythms they will be laying down – it will seem as if your life will be complete. A space and place where no one will “break your soul.”
This event, though open and free to the public, is exclusive to 250 people.
AURA is part of ArtWalk on the Allegheny, a program of Riverlife, the Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD), and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust to bring immersive artwork and engaging programming to the riverfronts along two miles of the Allegheny River.
