Olivia Hric (pronounced ha-RITZ) is eagerly jumping into her role of Program Coordinator, and all of the fun it entails!

Olivia joins us from Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh (CLP), where she served as Manager of Special Events and Campaigns for the last five years. A role deeply invested in the planning, project management and implementation of programs and events for a variety of internal and external Library stakeholders. Prior to CLP, Olivia worked in the Education and Lifelong Learning Departments at Carnegie Museum of Natural History, planning and presenting programming for museum visitors. In her time working for these Oakland institutions, Olivia compounded her enthusiasm for service, curiosity, learning and fun, and is so excited to infuse these passions into the work she does for Riverlife!

Olivia grew up in Springdale, PA (the same small town as Director of Communications, Emily Balawejder – what a happy coincidence!) and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in History and Anthropology, and a minor in Museum Studies. Olivia is proudly neurodivergent and is a strong proponent of equity for disabled folks in the workplace.  In her free time, she likes to take walks in Frick Park, watch British TV with her partner Peter (recommendation: Taskmaster), test out new recipes and spend time with her tuxedo cat Juliet.
