Liz Igo is thrilled to join Riverlife as the Administrative Assistant. She is passionate about how structural issues impact our environment, communities, and individual lives. Throughout her career, she has been motivated by participating in projects that enrich social wellbeing and enhance opportunities for equitable community engagement.

Most recently, Liz was the Dean’s Office Coordinator and Assistant to the Dean within the Falk School of Sustainability and Environment at Chatham University. While there, she provided widespread operational and academic support for all areas of the school and campus. Additional professional experiences include serving as a SWAN LSI paralegal for Allegheny county’s Children and Youth office, a community organizer on behalf of Unite Here Local 5 in Honolulu, Hawaii, and providing administrative support to the legal team at Pine Tree Legal Assistance in Portland, Maine. Liz has over 15 years of experience in special event planning and loves opportunities to create exceptional experiences for others.

Liz received a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Arizona State University. Her education focused heavily in social work, pre-law, women’s studies, sociology, and ethics.

She lives with her family in Gibsonia, PA and when she isn’t at work you can find her hiking or kayaking in a nearby park. Liz loves gardening, baking, kickboxing, yoga, and dancing with her kids in the kitchen while trying out new recipes together.
