Katie Winter
Development Manager
Katie Winter is thrilled to work with Riverlife as Development Manager, and partner with a range of institutional partners to support Riverlife’s programs and operations. Katie joins the organization with years of experience fundraising for Pittsburgh’s media industry. Prior to Riverlife, she served as Foundation Manager at WQED Multimedia, Pittsburgh’s PBS station, where she was responsible for the organization’s foundation and government funding. Katie joined WQED amidst the organization’s acquisition of Steeltown Entertainment Project, having served with Steeltown in both fundraising and finance roles.
Katie holds a Masters in Arts Management degree from Carnegie Mellon University where she attended the Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy. Katie is a lifelong Pittsburgher and proud Carlow University alumna, with a Bachelor’s degree in Art with a concentration in Art History, as well as Bachelor’s in Accounting.
Katie grew up volunteering with Brentwood Meals on Wheels and still serves with the organization, supporting their grant efforts. Katie is a member of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and in her free time can be found walking her rescue dog, hanging out with her cats, painting, reading a new cook book, or creating new recipes.
