Post-Gazette: Riverlife’s Take a Seat project brings whimsy to social experiment

We’re thrilled that people are still buzzing about our Take a Seat! project that debuted earlier this summer. In case you hadn’t heard, we set out 30 lightweight movable chairs with GPS trackers on the Allegheny riverfront during the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival. Our goal? To see where you wanted to sit on the riverfront. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Diana Nelson Jones chatted with Riverlife senior project manager Nina Chase to find out why something as simple as plastic chairs seems to have captured peoples’ attention (and imaginations).
